California Massage Therapy Training and Certification

California Healing Arts College is approved by the Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education (BPPE), and the school's accrediting agency, the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC), to offer the following Massage Therapy Training and Personal Fitness Trainer Certification programs:

Massage Therapist - Master CN650
Massage Therapist - Advanced Master CN1000
Personal Fitness Trainer CN840 

California Healing Arts College provides Federal Financial Assistance to students who qualify.

The Personal Fitness Trainer CN840 program is a 900 instructional hour, two semester credit hour program that is completed in one academic year.

 

The Massage Therapist - Master CN650 program is a 720 instructional hour, two semester credit hour program (900 effective clock hours) that is completed in one academic year. Most students take additional time to complete the internship component of the program.

The Massage Therapist - Advanced Master CN1000 program is a 1095 instructional hour, three semester credit hour program (1350 effective clock hours) that is completed in 18 academic months.

MASSAGE THERAPIST - MASTER CN650 PROGRAM

The 720 instructional clock hour (32 Semester Credit) Massage Therapist - Master program provides extensive practical and theoretical training in Swedish Massage, Oscillation, Shiatsu, Deep Tissue, Jade Stone Therapy, and Business Ethics and Practice, thoroughly preparing the student for work in professional clinical and economy spa environments. This level of massage therapy training is designed to prepare the student for California Massage Therapy Council (CAMTC) Certification or for most individual city and county licensing requirements in California; and for entry level employment in chiropractic and medical clinics, health clubs, beauty salons and economy spas. Students are sufficiently trained to sit for the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB) wsamination in Massage Therapy upon completion of this program. This massage therapy training and certification program is limited to 24 students respectively in day and evening sections and is most often completed in just one year (12 months), divided equally between

PERSONAL FITNESS TRAINER CN840 PROGRAM

The 900 clock hour (41 Semester Credit) Personal Fitness Trainer Program provides extensive practical and theoretical training in leadership, sales, business, fitness assessments, exercise technique, goal-specific exercise program design, nutrition, and lifestyle coaching in order to thoroughly prepare the student for work in health club environments and to manage the student's own Personal Fitness Training clientele. This level of personal fitness training is designed to prepare the student for National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) Certification, and for entry-level personal fitness training in the health and fitness industry, with emphasis upon working in health clubs and acquiring a private fitness training clientele. NASM provides evidence-based health and fitness solutions, and has been a global leader in providing certification to health and fitness Personal Trainer professionals since 1987. PROGRAM INFORMATION DISCLOSURES

This document provides information about educational programs offered at California Healing Arts College, pursuant to the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR).  California Healing Arts College is an institutionally accredited member of the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC) and is approved to operate in California by the Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education (BPPE).

Definitions 

  1. Tuition and Fees.  Tuition and Fees includes the total tuition and fees, including fees for books and equipment, charged for the program during the award year ending on June 30, 2010.  Current tuition and fees are stated in the California Healing Arts College school catalog.
  2. On-Time Completion Rate.  The On-Time Completion Rate per 34 CFR 668.6(c) is defined as the number of students who graduated during the “Normal Time” allotted for program completion.  Normal Time for program completion is based upon the length of the program as published in the California Healing Arts College school catalog.  The On-Time Completion Rate is not reflective of the overall completion rate of the program, since the majority of students take longer than the Normal Time to complete their educational program.
  3. Placement Rate.  Placement Rate is defined as “A” divided by “B”, where “A” is the number of program graduates during the reporting period who completed their educational program within 150% of the program length and who became employed in their field of training; and “B” is the total number of program graduates available for employment.
  4. Median Loan Debt.  Median Loan Debt is the median financial debt incurred through Title IV HEA loans and other sources of private financing by students who complete the educational program.
