These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your use of www.chac.edu and any related landing pages, forms, chat tools and online services that link to these Terms (together, the “Site”). The Site is operated by Pacific College of Healthcare, Inc., doing business as California Healing Arts College (“CHAC”, “the College”, “we”, “us” or “our”).
By using the Site, submitting a form, or contacting us through the Site, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site. You may still contact our Admissions Office by phone or in person.
California Healing Arts College is a private institution located at 500 E. Carson Plaza Drive, Suite 103, Carson, California 90746. The College is approved to operate by the California Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education (BPPE). Approval to operate means compliance with state standards as set forth in the California Private Postsecondary Education Act of 2009. It does not imply that the Bureau endorses our programs.
California Healing Arts College is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC). ACCSC is a national accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. Current details are on our School Accreditation and Approvals page and in the school catalog.
The Site provides general information only. It is not an offer of admission, a contract of enrollment, or a guarantee of any kind. The terms of your education, including tuition, fees, program length, schedules, your right to cancel, refund policy and the Student Tuition Recovery Fund, are set only by the current school catalog, the School Performance Fact Sheet for your program, and the enrollment agreement you sign. If anything on the Site differs from those documents, those documents control.
As a prospective student, you are encouraged to review the catalog before signing an enrollment agreement. You are also encouraged to review the School Performance Fact Sheet, which must be provided to you before you sign. School Performance Fact Sheets and other disclosures are available on our State Disclosures and Required Federal Disclosures pages.
Nothing in these Terms limits or waives any right you have as a student or prospective student under California or federal law.
The Site is intended for people who are at least 18 years old. Admission requirements, including age requirements for each program, are listed on our Requirements for Admissions page and in the catalog. If you are under 18 and interested in a program, please have a parent or legal guardian submit the inquiry or contact us with you. The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes, such as learning about the College, requesting information, scheduling a visit, or applying. You agree not to:
We may suspend or block access for anyone who violates these Terms.
Submitting a request for information, registering for a tour or event, or starting an online application does not admit you, reserve a seat, lock in tuition, or create any obligation to enroll. Admission requires that you meet the admissions requirements in the catalog, complete the admissions process with an Admissions Representative, and sign an enrollment agreement that the College accepts. Class start dates, schedules and program availability may change. There is no cost or obligation to request information.
You agree that the information you give us is true, current and complete, and that you will update it if it changes. You confirm that any phone number or email address you provide is your own, or that you are authorized to provide it and to consent to contact at it. Decisions about admission, financial aid eligibility and enrollment may rely on this information. Inaccurate or incomplete information can delay or prevent admission or aid.
Please do not send sensitive information, such as your Social Security number, financial account details or medical records, through general inquiry forms, chat or text message. We will tell you the secure method to use when that information is needed.
When you give us your contact information, we use it to respond to your inquiry and to support you through admissions, financial aid and enrollment.
Your consent. Where a form on the Site includes consent language and you submit it, you give California Healing Arts College your express written consent to contact you at the phone number and email you provided, by phone call, text message and email, about our programs, admissions, financial aid, events and enrollment. These calls and texts may be made using an automatic telephone dialing system, an artificial or prerecorded voice, or AI-assisted technology, and may be made even if your number is on a state or federal Do Not Call list. Consent is not required to enroll, and it is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services. You can request information without giving this consent by calling (310) 826-7622 or visiting the campus.
Revoking consent. You may withdraw your consent at any time by any reasonable method, including:
We honor opt-out requests as soon as practicable and no later than 10 business days. Opting out of marketing messages does not stop service messages that enrolled students need, such as schedule changes, financial aid deadlines or campus safety alerts, unless you opt out of those separately.
Call recording. Calls with the College may be monitored or recorded for quality, training and compliance purposes. We will tell you at the start of a recorded call.
Email. Marketing emails identify the College as the sender, include our physical address, and contain an unsubscribe link.
Program. CHAC Admissions Text Messages. If you opt in, California Healing Arts College sends text messages about your inquiry, appointment and tour reminders, application and financial aid next steps, start dates, events and program information.
How you opt in. You opt in by checking the SMS consent box or submitting a form on the Site that contains SMS consent language, or by giving written consent in person. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of enrollment.
Message frequency. Message frequency varies based on where you are in the admissions process.
Cost. Message and data rates may apply, according to your mobile plan. We do not charge for texts.
Opt out. Reply STOP to any message to cancel. You will receive one final message confirming that you have been unsubscribed. After that, you will receive no further texts from that number unless you opt in again. You can also reply CANCEL, END, QUIT or UNSUBSCRIBE.
Help. Reply HELP to any message, call (310) 826-7622, or use our Contact Us page.
Carriers. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery depends on your carrier and device and is not guaranteed.
Your number. If you change or give up your mobile number, reply STOP from the old number first or tell us, so that texts do not go to the next owner of the number.
Privacy. We do not sell, rent or share your mobile phone number or your SMS opt-in data and consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third party, other than service providers that help us deliver our own messages. See our Privacy Policy for details.
General information only. Program descriptions, course lists, schedules, start dates and program lengths on the Site are summaries and can change. The current catalog is the official source.
No guarantee of employment or earnings. The College does not guarantee employment, job placement, a particular job title, salary, wage or career advancement to any student or graduate. Job placement assistance is available to graduates through our Career Services department, but it is not a promise of a job. Outcomes depend on many factors, including your effort, attendance, academic performance, background check results, local labor market conditions and employer requirements.
Wage and job outlook data. Where the Site cites wage or job growth figures, they come from third-party sources such as the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics and are labeled with the source and date. These figures describe an occupation in general, often nationally or statewide. They are not the earnings of our graduates and are not a prediction of what you will earn.
Completion and placement rates. Our completion, placement, licensure exam passage and salary data, where required, are published in the School Performance Fact Sheet for each program, available through our State Disclosures page. Any rate mentioned on the Site should be read together with that document and its reporting period.
Transfer of credit. The transferability of credits you earn at CHAC is at the complete discretion of an institution to which you may seek to transfer. Acceptance of the diploma you earn in your chosen program of study is also at the complete discretion of the institution to which you may seek to transfer. See the catalog for the full notice.
Tuition, fees and other costs shown on the Site are provided for general information and can change. The amounts that apply to you are those in the enrollment agreement you sign. Financial aid is available to those who qualify. Eligibility is determined under federal, state and institutional rules, and no statement on the Site is a promise or award of aid. Loans must be repaid. Our Net Price Calculator and any cost estimate on the Site are estimates only and are not binding. Some careers require a state license, registration or third-party certification that the College does not grant. Completing a program does not by itself guarantee eligibility to sit for an exam, a passing result, a certification or a license. Requirements are set by outside agencies, such as the California Massage Therapy Council for massage therapist certification, can change, and differ by state. A criminal record, immigration status or health requirements may affect your eligibility for externships, certification, licensure or employment. Our programs are designed around California requirements. If you plan to work in another state, check that state’s requirements before enrolling. Externship sites, schedules and locations are subject to availability and are not guaranteed to be at a specific site or distance.
Student and graduate stories on the Site reflect individual experiences. They are not a guarantee that you will have the same experience or results. Photos and videos may show actual students, staff and facilities, or may be stock or illustrative images. Comments posted by others on our social media pages are their own views and not statements of the College.
The Site and its content, including text, logos, photos, videos, graphics, program materials and page design, belong to the College or its licensors and are protected by copyright and trademark law. You may view, download and print pages for your personal, non-commercial use in considering or attending the College. You may not otherwise copy, modify, republish, sell or create derivative works from Site content, or use the College’s name, logo or accreditation and approval marks, without our written permission. Accreditor and agency logos belong to those organizations.
If you send us content, such as a testimonial, photo, review or social media post that tags us, you confirm you have the right to share it. We will ask for your written release before using your name, image or story in advertising.
If you believe content on the Site infringes your copyright, send a notice with the details required by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act to [email protected] or to the mailing address in Section 18.
The Site may link to or use services operated by others. Examples include our customer relationship management and form providers, live chat and scheduling tools, text and email delivery vendors, maps, embedded video, social media platforms, analytics and advertising services, financial aid and net price tools, our online learning platform, and government or accreditor websites. These third parties have their own terms and privacy policies, and we do not control and are not responsible for their content, security or practices. A link is not an endorsement. How we share information with service providers is explained in our Privacy Policy.
We work to keep the Site accurate and available, but it is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the College disclaims all warranties, express or implied, regarding the Site, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of harmful components. The Site may contain typographical errors or outdated information, which we may correct at any time.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the College and its owners, officers, employees and agents are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data or lost profits, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Site or any third-party site or service linked from it. Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the Site will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars (US $100).
These limits apply only to use of the Site. They do not limit liability that cannot be limited under California law, and they do not limit any right or remedy you have as a student or prospective student under your enrollment agreement, the California Private Postsecondary Education Act, or federal student aid rules.
You agree to be responsible for losses the College suffers because of your violation of Section 5 (Acceptable use) or your infringement of another person’s rights.
Governing law. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law rules. Any court action about the Site will be brought in the state or federal courts serving Los Angeles County, California, unless the law gives you the right to bring it elsewhere.
Questions and complaints. We encourage you to bring any concern to us first, using the contact details below. Students and prospective students should follow the Complaint Policy and Procedure in the catalog. A student or any member of the public may file a complaint about this institution with the Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education by calling (888) 370-7589 or by completing a complaint form, which can be obtained on the Bureau’s website, www.bppe.ca.gov. Changes. We may update these Terms from time to time, for example when our services, vendors or the law change. We will post the updated Terms on this page and change the “Last updated” date. If a change materially affects how we contact you, we will ask for new consent where the law requires it. Your continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the updated Terms. Changes to these Terms never change a signed enrollment agreement.
General. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and the College about your use of the Site.
Accessibility. We want the Site to be usable by everyone and work toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. Non-discrimination. The College does not discriminate based on race, color, religion, national or ethnic origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or status, marital, parental, familial, veteran, or military service status, age, or disability. CHAC collects personal information automatically through web analytics when you visit our Sites. We also gather the information you voluntarily provide when interacting with CHAC online or offline.
