There has been a lot of discussion around the benefits of the Affordable Care Act in the United States for the past year or so. Most people look at how this health reform plan affects individuals who are seeking medical care, however, there is a significant opportunity and need for medical assistants in the health care industry.
The fact is that there will be an estimated 30 million patients who were previously uninsured, are looking forward to making use of their new health coverage because of the Affordable Care Act. This in turn means a huge spike in the need for medical jobs and potentially reaching 250,000 to over 400,000 each year for the next 10 years. Now that’s a lot!
