California Healing
Arts College is a Los Angeles Massage school and Personal Training school located in West Los Angeles,
California, two blocks from Santa Monica and only ten minutes drive to
the Pacific ocean and Santa Monica pier. This Los Angeles based massage therapy and
personal fitness training school was founded in 1988 by Dr. Paul Schwinghamer, a chiropractor and educator
devoted to massage therapy training, and to expanding general public
awareness of therapeutic massage and personal training. In 1999, the school was listed in the
popular book "Massage for Dummies" as one of the
top ten massage therapy schools in the United States. In 2011, California Healing Arts College became
the first ACCSC member accredited school in Californi to offer a 900 hour Personal Fitness Trainer program
based upon the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) curriculum.
Our philosophy at California Healing Arts College is that learning is
an enjoyable and mentally stimulating process where students and teachers
work closely together and benefit alike. Our purpose is to promote Massage Therapy and Personal Fitness Training as
non-invasive forms of healing to complement traditional medicine and alternative healing arts. Our focus, therefore,
is both scientific and intuitive, with emphasis upon the practical consideration of gaining employment upon graduation.
